Influence of Fly Ash on the Fluidity of Blast Furnace Slag for the Preparation of Slag Wool

Using fly ash as the modifier, blast furnace slag was modified to prepare wool, fulfilling goal of using one type waste make use another waste, and it is great significance for comprehensive utilization industrial bulk solid wastes resource recycling. In process forming fiber from slag, fluidity key factor affecting smooth formation slag. To explore changes in temperature-dependent viscosity with different amounts added measured, effects addition on viscosity, fluidity, activation energy particle migration, structure were investigated. The results indicated that increase amount added, high-temperature region (>1324 °C), increases gradually, decreases gradually (i.e., becomes worse), suitable fiber-forming temperature range widens. When 5% 25%, trend migration follows: increase, decrease, significantly, decrease. less than 20%, SiO2 content jointly affect breakage reorganization oxygen bridge bonding silicon-oxygen tetrahedron structure. dominates modifier perspective operability, optimum 15%.
